If Yes, details: An ethnographic study, published in the American Journal of Psychiatry, demonstrated the efficacy of peer services in the delvelopment of self care, intradependence, and accountability for each other and themselves in recovery
Program Mission Statement: to provide services to individuals with mental health diagnosis' to reclaim their lives outside the mental health system.
Additional Information: HALI, operates the first peer run, medicaid reimbursed mental health clinic,(according to SAMHSA in 2007) in addition to independent housing, self help, drop in center, employment, forensic work in prisons and jails, as well as advocacy. We work with people who want to change their lives and/or move on with their lives. We start where the person is.
